Join our thriving distribution center in Miami, Florida as a Warehouse Supervisor. We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to safety standards. In this role, you will lead a team of warehouse associates, manage inventory, optimize workflows, and implement best practices in logistics. Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving operational goals and maintaining a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong supervisory skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems, and a proven track record of success in a similar role. You will be responsible for training and developing your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring all activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff to achieve performance targets.
- Ensure efficient inventory management and accuracy through regular cycle counts and system updates.
- Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs within the logistics chain.
- Enforce all Safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a secure working environment and proper use of PPE .
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
- Manage scheduling and staffing to meet operational demands.
- Oversee the proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management is essential. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply chain management. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is required. Must be adept at problem-solving and decision-making. The physical demands of this role may include occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. A commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace is paramount. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective team leadership and collaboration within the broader logistics network. This is a critical role in managing our extensive distribution operations.
