Role Overview
We are looking for a confident, strategic HR leader who wants to build rather than maintain. This role is ideal for a skilled HR professional who has developed a strong foundation and is ready to take on a broader leadership mandate. You will lead the HR function hands-on and bring both structure and momentum to a growing firm. Candidates who are ambitious, capable, and ready for a step-up opportunity will thrive here.
The HR Manager at Shulman & Partners will play a defining role in shaping how a high-performing family law firm scales.
This is a leadership position, responsible for driving the firm's people strategy, leading core HR systems, and ensuring consistent performance and accountability. You will work in close partnership with the Executive Director and Managing Partner, contributing insight, recommendations, and structure that strengthen the firm's overall leadership capacity.
You will bring both strategy and execution, leading with sound judgment, calm authority, and a clear understanding of how process, structure, and human connection create organizational excellence.
Who You Are
Mission-Driven
You connect your work to purpose. You see HR as a leadership function that strengthens both people and performance.

Comfortable with Ambiguity
You perform confidently when structure is still forming. You find focus through action and create clarity for others.
Accountable
You follow through on commitments and own your results. You bring urgency, precision, and professionalism to every project.
Performance Focused
You care about results, not appearances. You value speed, consistency, and measurable progress.
Down-to-Earth Contributor
You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves and handling both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR needs. You approach all work, from employee engagement to administrative details, with professionalism and care. You understand that in a lean, growing environment, leadership means being hands-on and adaptable.
Human Leader
You balance structure and empathy. You make firm decisions while maintaining fairness, respect, and composure.
