We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our operations in Boston, Massachusetts. This integral role supports the smooth functioning of our warehouse by managing both incoming and outgoing goods. You will be responsible for accurately receiving inventory, verifying shipments against purchase orders, and preparing outgoing orders for dispatch. This position demands meticulousness in tracking inventory, ensuring accuracy in all transactions, and maintaining a well-organized workspace. As part of our logistics team, you will contribute to the efficient movement of products, supporting our commitment to timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Safety is our top priority, and all associates are required to strictly follow safety protocols and wear the designated PPE. The role involves physical activity, including lifting and moving materials, so a good level of physical fitness is necessary. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, possess strong problem-solving skills, and are dedicated to maintaining a high standard of operational excellence within a dynamic warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare products for shipment, including packing and labeling.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Keep the receiving and shipping areas clean and organized.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize PPE correctly.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Physical stamina to handle lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of logistics principles is beneficial.
- Commitment to a safe work environment and PPE usage.
