We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. This includes operating forklifts and other machinery, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining an organized inventory. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure that all operations run smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Moving materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Storing materials in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Picking and preparing materials for shipment or production.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and maintaining accurate records.
- Operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Following all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as assigned.
This role involves significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
