We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. Your primary focus will be on safe and accurate handling of all products, ensuring inventory integrity and timely movement of goods. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth within our expanding logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials from trucks.
- Inspect goods for damages and verify against purchase orders.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations accurately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
- Pick and prepare materials for shipment according to order specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Participate in inventory counts and audits.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
