We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to support our operations in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is vital for maintaining the flow of materials throughout our warehouse and distribution center. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment or further processing. This includes loading and unloading goods, operating hand trucks or pallet jacks, and ensuring inventory is stored correctly. A strong emphasis is placed on safety and efficiency in all material handling tasks. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks, contributing significantly to our logistics chain. Maintaining a safe work environment is a top priority, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Stage materials for production or shipment.
- Operate manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) to move materials.
- Sort and organize materials in designated areas.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation as needed.
- Support overall logistics operations through efficient material movement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding of basic inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all protocols.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
