Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri, to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This role is critical for ensuring product availability, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, conducting regular audits, and utilizing our inventory system to track stock movements. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate data entry.
- Manage the flow of goods, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with purchasing and operations teams to manage stock levels and prevent stockouts.
- Ensure **Safety** standards are met during all inventory handling activities, including proper use of **PPE**.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or **logistics** environment.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to **lifting** up to 25 pounds is occasionally required for stock verification.
- Knowledge of **Safety** procedures for handling inventory.
- Must be comfortable wearing company-provided **PPE** as needed.
