Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This critical role supports the overall functionality and efficiency of our logistics facility. You will be responsible for the maintenance and minor repairs of warehouse equipment, ensuring all machinery operates safely and effectively. This includes performing routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with external service providers when necessary. Safety is our top priority, and you will ensure that all equipment adheres to safety standards and that proper PPE is utilized by yourself and others. This position requires mechanical aptitude and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. You will work closely with warehouse management and staff to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual to contribute significantly to our logistics infrastructure. Your expertise in equipment maintenance will be invaluable.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyor systems, palletizers).
  • Diagnose and repair minor mechanical and electrical issues with equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Advise on necessary equipment upgrades or replacements.
  • Assist in training operators on the safe and proper use of equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunction calls.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Keep the maintenance area clean and organized.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or electrical systems is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
