We are seeking a proactive Distribution Center Associate for our facility in Durham, North Carolina. This role is vital to our supply chain and logistics operations, focusing on the accurate and efficient handling of inventory. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will perform a range of duties including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and you will be required to adhere to all company safety policies and utilize provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The position involves physical activity, including significant standing, walking, and lifting. We are looking for team players who are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Responsibilities:
- Process incoming shipments, including unloading, inspecting, and verifying contents.
- Accurately pick products for customer orders using order guides and scanning equipment.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for safe transit.
- Stage outbound orders for shipment and assist with loading.
- Maintain inventory integrity through precise scanning and proper storage.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Follow correct lifting techniques to prevent injury and ensure proper handling.
- Support the logistics team to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is highly preferred.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Flexibility with work schedule, including potential overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
