We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to our warehouse operations, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and that goods are prepared for shipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of our distribution center. Your primary focus will be on handling materials within the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount in this position. We value teamwork and encourage all our employees to contribute to a positive and productive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure operational safety.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating system.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Comply with all lifting guidelines and techniques to prevent injuries.
- Support the logistics team in achieving daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
