Are you an experienced Reach Truck Operator looking for a new opportunity in Portland, Oregon? Join our dedicated logistics team! As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a reach truck to move, retrieve, and store materials in high-rise racking systems. This role is vital to maintaining organized inventory and supporting the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse. You will perform regular checks on your equipment, maintain accurate records of movements, and ensure adherence to all safety protocols. We are committed to a safe workplace, and all necessary PPE will be provided, along with ongoing safety training. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires precision, focus, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Occasional lifting may also be required.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to pick, put away, and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates.
- Ensure efficient use of warehouse space and proper storage of goods.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to meet operational goals.
- Participate in inventory counts and other logistics support tasks.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid reach truck operator certification/license.
- Proven experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform some lifting tasks (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
