You’ll be involved in the design development and manufacture of components, tooling, fixtures and test equipment contributing to both prototype and production‑scale manufacturing. This role offers the chance to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and customers taking ideas from concept through to full‑scale production.
Responsibilities as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Andover.
Design and develop components and assemblies for semiconductor packaging applications.
Conduct early‑stage feasibility studies and develop advanced concepts using emerging technologies.
Translate conceptual designs into manufacturable products applying DFM / DFA principles.
Maintain and optimise engineering processes in line with company and international quality standards.
Provide technical support and mentorship within the department promoting a right first time approach.
Requirements as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Andover.
Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical or production engineering (preferably within semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing).
HND or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Production Engineering.
Proficient in CAD design and 2D drafting (SolidWorks preferred).
