The Role
As Sales Engineer, you will take ownership of a defined region, selling and promoting a comprehensive portfolio of
process instrumentation, calibration, and inspection solutions . You'll be responsible for developing existing accounts, winning new business, and supporting larger project opportunities - working closely with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site visits with existing and prospective customers
Build and grow long-term customer relationships within process industries
Maximise sales across products and services within the region
Identify and develop new sales channels and opportunities
Take a lead role in major customer agreements and larger project bids
Manage sales pipelines, forecasting, and opportunity tracking
Support tenders and bids for complex, high-value projects
Maintain accurate CRM records of all customer interactions
Provide market and competitor insight to support marketing strategy
Work collaboratively with internal sales and marketing teams
Background & Experience Sought
Engineering background with exposure to
electrical engineering
Experience selling into
process industries , automation, or control instrumentation
Understanding of
process instrumentation and calibration
within production environments
Confident working with engineers, buyers, and senior stakeholders
Strong consultative and solution-based sales approach
Full UK driving licence (field-based role)
Desirable Experience
Knowledge of
Endress+Hauser ,
Eurotherm , or similar automation products
Experience selling
calibration or inspection services , including DSEAR
NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Installations) or equivalent
