As a small yet established AV manufacturer, we're looking for someone with a hands-on mindset who can collaborate closely with senior management to create and execute plans for expanding sales, as well as actively pursuing new leads and markets. Industry : Audio & Video Manufacturing Classification : Exempt Work status : Full-time, regular Reports to : CEO Salary Range : $140,000 - $160,000/base/annually + Additional Bonus Opportunities Work Schedule : Hybrid Opportunity (1 day remote, 4 days onsite) Location : Preferred candidate will reside in the San Diego area. We will consider a remote work option for candidates with strong AV background outside California. Essential Job Duties Leadership : Proven ability to lead a sales team (currently 3 sales representatives), set quotas, drive performance, and run pipeline reviews. Not just managing but coaching and growing the sales team. Strong coaching skills are essential for this position and will involve encouraging teamwork, delivering clear and effective guidance, nurturing innovation, promoting a proactive “hunter” mentality, supporting skill development, and providing continuous support. Understands and executes the go-to-marketing strategy and can build trust with the team fast. Sales Strategy : Deep understanding of long sales cycles, channel distribution, and major account management. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales growth strategy to increase revenue and market share for the company's AV product line. Utilize market insights to develop pricing strategies, sales forecasts, and sales targets aiming to optimize market positioning and achieve revenue goals. Build and manage the plan that keeps your team focused, motivated, and measurables without you needing to step in daily. Owns the sales pipeline health, lead gen systems, rep performance, and forecasting. Opportunities : Seek out new opportunities by cold calling, networking, identifying and pursuing new sales leads. Creative strategies will be crucial in uncovering untapped potential. Leverage exceptional negotiation skills to close deals that benefit both the customer and our company. Deep understanding of pricing strategy, vertical targeting, trade shows, lead gen strategy, and content/marketing alignment. Partnership : Collaborate closely with senior management to create and execute plans for expanding sales, as well as actively pursuing new leads and markets. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field, plus five years of professional managerial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. 5+ years of experience in business and market development, partnership management, and sales and marketing. Robust coaching skills centered on teamwork, encouragement, and creativity. Proven history of market analysis, strategic planning, and navigating market dynamics, which resulted in fulfilling customer needs, and fostering growth. Experience in developing and implementing market strategies. Skilled at creating and executing prospective strategies for discovering new accounts. Proven track record of significant sales and market growth. Strong understanding of Audio and related wireless technology. Experience in selling and/or developing and implementing B2C/B2B sales pipelines. Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Savvy contract negotiation experience, including presentation skills and persuasive communication style (online and in-person). Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a keen eye for identifying business opportunities. Current software proficiency; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP, and CRM such as HubSpot. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Support special assignments and administrative functions, meeting deadlines. The ability to travel, sometimes frequently, in accordance with business necessity. This position cannot be performed fully remotely; hybrid work will be considered after a 90-day introduction period. (1 day remote and 4 days onsite). Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
