As a Business Analytics & Support Specialist (Automotive), you will serve as a strategic liaison between clients and S&P Global, supporting special projects, ad hoc requests, and proactive analysis using a range of S&P Global solutions. You will leverage data solutions to provide actionable insights, support client training, and enhance the customer experience. This is not a sales role-it's about empowering clients to achieve their goals through data-driven decision making. You will act as a primary point of contact, guiding clients to maximize the value of our automotive data solutions and supporting them in areas such as industry trends and market behavior. If you have experience in the automotive industry and a passion for business analytics and client support, this is an excellent opportunity to drive real impact for our clients. Automotive industry experience is required; familiarity with OEMs is a plus. The Client Advisor team at S&P Global Mobility is the main point of contact for OEM partners seeking data-driven solutions to meet their strategic business objectives. We deliver differentiated value and strategic insights, using data assets such as vehicle registration, sales, vehicles in operation (VIO), and loyalty metrics to identify market trends and answer business-critical questions. Responsibilities and Impact Serve as the primary client contact for S&P Global automotive data solutions, guiding clients in using our tools and data effectively for their business needs.
Deliver high-quality customer support, troubleshooting client issues, and providing expert guidance on data access, interpretation, and application.
Train clients-both in group and one-on-one settings-on the use of S&P Global data tools and solutions, ensuring they are comfortable, confident, and successful in using our products.
Act as a subject matter expert on S&P Global's automotive data and software tools, able to answer client questions and provide tailored recommendations.
Conduct automotive data analysis, reporting, and ad hoc investigations to support specific client objectives and provide proactive business insights.
Perform quality control (QC) checks on client data outputs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client specifications.
Collaborate with internal teams (account, product, and support) to address client feedback, resolve issues, and communicate client needs for future product enhancements.
Proactively monitor client usage and engagement, offering support and additional training as needed to drive client success and satisfaction.
Maintain thorough knowledge of S&P Global products and applications relevant to assigned clients.
Communicate the "Voice of Customer" to internal teams, ensuring client retention and continuous improvement of our solutions.
Document best practices and client success stories to support knowledge sharing across teams.
Compensation/Benefits Information
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000.
Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. 3-6 years of automotive industry analytics experience in marketing, sales, analytics, or consulting.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
Strong customer service mindset, striving to exceed client expectations at every interaction.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to analyze data, develop actionable insights, and craft compelling data stories.
Creative skills to design visually impactful and informative data presentations.
