PURPOSE OF THE ROLE BBC Sport Scotland serves audiences across digital television and radio covering football rugby and a wide range of other sporting events and personalities. Sportscene covers Scottish football and then some. Premiership SWPL Championship Scottish Cup European Qualifiers and Scotland internationals with live highlights and analysis.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Content Producer to join the BBC SPORT Scotland team. Reporting to the Assistant Editor for Television the Assistant Content Producer will assist in the preparation and production of creative for our television output plus original digital video content for online and social media.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
Research / assist in the preparation and production of creative Sports content
Ability to offer new and fresh ways of delivering content; both editorial and colour‑based with a multi‑platform approach
Edit match highlights in a fast turnaround environment across our SPFL & SWPL coverage
Generate fresh modern ideas for informative sports programmes / features
To watch and digitally log accurately sporting action identifying what is important or useful; either as pre‑recorded material or live at Pacific Quay Glasgow
Work in conjunction with a VT Editor to edit highlights of sporting action into complete programmes or programme inserts.
Knowledge and ability to use editing software Avid Newscutter / Media Composer Avid Assist / Media Manager desirable.
Undertake administration duties relevant to the productions smooth running where necessary.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA :
This role requires some experience in TV / Multi‑Platform Sport Production. You will have a genuine enthusiasm and interest in sport in particular football. Someone with a multi‑platform approach and how best to promote our coverage. You will have ability to work to tight to deadlines as part of a team and as an individual.
In depth knowledge of particular Scottish football
Experience in creating multi‑platform content and packages in both long and short form
Knowledge of editing systems; in particular AVID newscutter and assist and Adobe Premier
