As they expand, they are looking for adaptable and technically sharp talent who thrive in fast-moving, idea-rich environments. We're looking for a Backend Developer (Python-Focused) to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to scale up to full-time based on performance and project flow. This is a highly flexible remote role, ideal for a problem-solver who's confident in Python, understands backend architecture, and isn't afraid to test out new toolsincluding AI-powered dev accelerators. You'll help build backend APIs and services, connect third-party systems, and optimize our data workflows. Your ability to think on your feet and deliver fast, functional code will be key to our progress. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python Build and integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs Work with both NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) Deploy and manage services on AWS, especially Lambda and API Gateway Collaborate on building rapid MVPs using modern tooling and AI code assistants Contribute ideas for architecture, automation, and workflow improvements Proactively test, debug, and deliver reliable backend code Ideal Candidate Profile
Must-Have Skills:
Strong Python development experience Solid understanding of both NoSQL and SQL databases API integration expertise (REST and/or GraphQL)
Nice-to-Have Experience:
AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, etc.) Exposure to Node.js and/or Java Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., code generation, agentic AI, RAG) Experience building quick prototypes or MVPs using automation or AI-enhanced workflows
