We are seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is essential for overseeing and optimizing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety across all logistics functions. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating the movement of goods, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols. This position requires excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. You will play a key role in maintaining a productive and safe work environment, including enforcing the correct use of PPE and safe operating procedures. The ability to manage multiple priorities, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate effectively with other departments is critical. The role involves regular physical tasks, including lifting and guiding operations that require manual effort.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
- Manage inventory accuracy and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure efficiency.
- Supervise and train warehouse associates, providing guidance and support.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and procedures, including PPE compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational status.
- Liaise with other departments and external partners regarding logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or coordination.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
