We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our Tampa, Florida warehouse team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering received items into our inventory system. You will be responsible for the proper staging and organization of received materials for put-away. A meticulous approach to your work, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively are key. This role is fundamental to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting the overall logistics operations of our facility. Proper use of PPE and following safety protocols are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly.
- Stage received goods for inventory put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role or similar.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with WMS is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
