We are hiring certified Forklift Operators for our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials throughout the warehouse. Your expertise is vital to ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods within our distribution center. You will work as part of a dedicated team, supporting various warehouse operations and contributing to overall productivity. A strong commitment to safety, a proven track record of safe operation, and excellent spatial awareness are essential for success in this position. This is a key role in our logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow.
- Support the overall logistics operations of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- In-depth knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Experience in logistics or a related field is advantageous.
