We are looking for a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items to fulfill customer orders. Your duties will include locating products within the warehouse, using scanning equipment to record picks, and preparing items for packaging and shipment. This position is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and you will be provided with all necessary PPE and training to ensure a secure working environment. The ability to perform repetitive tasks, maintain a high level of accuracy, and handle moderate lifting is essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or scans.
- Use handheld scanners to track picked items and update inventory.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Stage picked orders for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Support overall logistics goals through efficient order processing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform lifting of items up to 30 lbs frequently.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
