Are you an energetic individual looking for a fulfilling role in Detroit, Michigan? We are hiring an Order Picker to join our team and contribute to our efficient warehouse operations. Your main focus will be accurately gathering specified items from various warehouse locations to fulfill customer orders. This role requires precision, speed, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy and product quality. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate shipment of all orders. This is a great opportunity to be a key player in our logistics network, ensuring customer satisfaction through diligent work.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets or digital scanners.
- Verify product numbers, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package picked items safely and efficiently for shipment.
- Stage completed orders for quality control and outbound shipping.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
- Operate pallet jacks and other relevant warehouse equipment carefully.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and wear the required PPE .
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
- Capability of lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail to minimize errors.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and labels accurately.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE .
