We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that materials are handled correctly, supporting both receiving and shipping operations. This position demands a strong commitment to safety, adherence to all operational procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas and production lines.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming inventory.
- Stage products for outgoing shipments.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with maintaining stock accuracy.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
