We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this essential role, you will contribute to the efficient operation of our logistics and distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving and storing inventory, picking and packing customer orders, and preparing items for shipment. A strong commitment to accuracy, productivity, and safety is paramount. You will be expected to follow all company procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This position requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload inbound shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
- Store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and rotation.
- Accurately pick items from inventory to fulfill customer orders.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for safe transit.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and checks as required.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Requirements:
- Prior warehouse or logistics experience is beneficial, but not required for motivated individuals.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding logistics environment.
- Understanding of general warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Demands:
