We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Provo, Utah. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory within our warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining efficient operations, ensuring timely loading and unloading of shipments, and supporting the overall logistics chain. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials and products within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the forklift to ensure safety and functionality.
- Safely transport inventory between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of all equipment.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of items that may be part of staging or securing loads.
- Support the logistics department by ensuring efficient material flow and accurate inventory placement.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Contribute to a productive and safe work environment through diligence and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Certified Forklift Operator with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment. Valid forklift certification is required. Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently. Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the correct use of PPE is essential. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Good spatial reasoning and attention to detail. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require occasional Lifting. Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
