Our Omaha, Nebraska facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Logistics department. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing inventory control procedures. Your attention to detail and analytical skills are crucial for ensuring the integrity of our stock. You will work closely with warehouse operations to reconcile inventory levels, identify root causes of errors, and propose solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory best practices. While not primarily a physically demanding role, some Lifting may be required during inventory audits. Safety is a core value, and you will promote and enforce Safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role is vital to optimizing our Logistics efficiency and minimizing stockouts or overstock situations. Responsibilities include: Performing regular cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, maintaining accurate WMS data, analyzing inventory trends, and collaborating with operational teams to improve processes. You will contribute to a culture of accuracy and efficiency within our warehouse.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of Safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
