Join our expanding logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona, as a skilled Forklift Operator! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of materials within our busy warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. A strong adherence to Safety procedures and a commitment to operational efficiency are critical. This role is vital to the seamless functioning of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of cargo.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately recording material movements.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Mandatory use of provided PPE at all times.
- Follow guidelines for proper Lifting and handling of goods.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or unsafe conditions within the warehouse.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical dexterity and manual coordination.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling principles.
- Unwavering commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
