Are you a fast-paced individual with a passion for accuracy? We're hiring a Picker/Packer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to join our busy e-commerce fulfillment center. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders from warehouse shelves and carefully packing them for shipment. This position is vital to our customer satisfaction, ensuring that orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently. You will work with scanning equipment and follow detailed instructions to select the right items and prepare them for transit. We foster a collaborative work environment that prioritizes safety, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Select appropriate shipping materials and containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking and packing or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency with scanning equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Good time management skills.
This role is a cornerstone of our logistics operations, directly impacting order fulfillment accuracy and speed. We expect all Pickers/Packers to be vigilant about safety, ensuring the correct use of PPE and awareness of their surroundings. While the primary focus is on accuracy, some Lifting of boxes will be part of the daily routine.
