You'll work with various shipping software and equipment, making efficiency and accuracy paramount. A commitment to safety is essential, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments for delivery.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping documents and product contents.
- Apply appropriate labels and documentation to packages.
- Coordinate with carriers for shipment pickups and tracking.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and records.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Operate shipping equipment and software efficiently.
- Conduct quality control checks on outgoing packages.
- Communicate shipping status updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is highly desirable. Familiarity with various shipping carriers and their online portals. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent attention to detail. Understanding and adherence to safety protocols, including PPE usage. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
