As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, verifying order details, and ensuring packages are ready for dispatch. If you have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in a shipping or logistics environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping documents before dispatch.
- Schedule and coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and tracking information.
- Ensure packages are properly handled and prepared for transit, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Operate shipping equipment as needed, following all Safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Shipping Clerk or similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform light to moderate Lifting, up to 25 lbs, when necessary.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and best practices in logistics.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
