We are hiring an efficient Inventory Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, conducting audits, and managing inventory data. A rigorous approach to Safety procedures and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory. This position may involve some moderate Lifting and handling of inventory items, and plays a critical role in the overall effectiveness of our Logistics operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to Safety are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against inventory records.
- Update inventory management systems with accurate stock levels and locations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory storage area.
- Assist with the receiving and put-away of new inventory.
- Generate reports on inventory status and movement as required.
- Follow all company policies and Safety guidelines related to inventory handling and warehouse operations.
- Identify and report any damaged or expired stock.
- Contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our Logistics and supply chain management.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management software. Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable. You must be capable of performing tasks that require precision and accuracy, with an understanding of warehouse Safety protocols.
