We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team at our Houston, Texas distribution center. This leadership role is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse, managing staff, and upholding our commitment to Safety and productivity within our logistics network. If you have a strong background in warehouse management and a passion for leading people, this is an ideal opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure all warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, order picking, and shipping, are conducted efficiently and safely.
- Implement and enforce all company Safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits and training.
- Manage workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet productivity targets and deadlines.
- Oversee inventory control processes to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and used correctly.
- Address employee concerns and conflicts, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain records of employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure adherence to all logistics and operational standards.
- Manage the proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all team members.
- Promote best practices for manual tasks, including safe Lifting techniques.
- Work with management to develop and implement process improvements.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment is required. You must be adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. A strong commitment to Safety and operational excellence is paramount.
