Job Summary:
Our Houston, Texas facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which directly impacts our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock adjustments. A sharp analytical mind, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential for success in this position. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory systems, performing audits, and working closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation and storage. We prioritize a secure and efficient logistics environment, so a thorough understanding of safety protocols and the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE ) are mandatory. While not primarily a physical role, it may involve occasional lifting of items up to 30 lbs for auditing purposes and requires the ability to navigate the warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize errors and losses.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of goods.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new inventory control strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear appropriate PPE when performing audits or moving within operational areas.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and adjustments.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to guidelines.
  • Ability to perform light physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE as needed.
