Job Summary:
Are you an experienced Material Handler looking for a challenging and rewarding role in Indianapolis, Indiana? Our logistics company is seeking a proactive and skilled individual to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our distribution center, supporting the flow of goods from receiving to shipping. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, organizing inventory, and ensuring that materials are correctly staged for production or shipment. A strong focus on safety and efficiency is essential. We are looking for someone who can work independently, take initiative, and contribute to a productive team environment.Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.
  • Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment issues.
  • Ensure that all safety regulations are followed, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements in logistics.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Valid forklift operating certification preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 pounds, on a regular basis.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Understanding of the logistics industry and its demands.
