The Material Handler will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from various departments, and ensuring that inventory is stored correctly. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Stack and arrange materials in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to material handling and logistics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification to operate specific material handling equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
