Our Portland, Oregon facility is seeking a dynamic Warehouse Associate to join our expanding logistics team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our supply chain by managing the movement of goods within the warehouse. Key responsibilities include receiving inventory, accurate stocking, efficient order picking, careful packing, and preparing shipments for transit. We are looking for energetic, reliable individuals who prioritize safety and efficiency in a busy operational setting. This position provides a great platform for developing skills in warehousing and logistics. The role involves considerable physical activity, including frequent lifting and moving of various items. A firm commitment to safety and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are essential requirements for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify inbound shipments against documentation.
- Inspect received goods for any signs of damage or defects.
- Store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Pick customer orders accurately using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Pack items securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Assemble and label shipments for outgoing delivery.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required or provided).
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use all mandated PPE.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with stocktaking activities.
- Support other warehouse functions to ensure efficient logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics role is highly preferred.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for the duration of the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding and adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime, as needed.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
