Our Huntsville, Alabama facility is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, involving the handling and processing of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for tasks such as receiving shipments, stocking inventory, picking orders, packing items, and preparing them for dispatch. We seek individuals who are energetic, reliable, and committed to upholding high standards of safety and efficiency in a demanding logistics environment. Your contribution will be key to ensuring that our supply chain functions smoothly and that our clients' needs are met promptly and accurately. The role requires a capacity for physical work, including regular lifting and movement of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming inventory; verify accuracy against shipping documents.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any issues.
- Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation and organization.
- Pick items from inventory according to order specifications, using scanners or pick lists.
- Pack items securely and safely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (training available).
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure personal and co-worker safety.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Support overall warehouse and logistics operations as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar setting is beneficial.
- Must be able to perform consistent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and be active for the duration of the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding and adherence to safety procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Familiarity with logistics principles is a plus.
