We are seeking experienced Material Handlers to join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Kansas City, Missouri. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse, utilizing various equipment to load, unload, transport, and store inventory. Your efforts are key to maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain and ensuring timely processing of goods. We are deeply committed to safety and expect all employees to rigorously follow safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and proper lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment with skill and safety.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring all goods are secured.
- Transport materials to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Stack, arrange, and organize materials according to established procedures.
- Assist in receiving and stocking inventory accurately.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse or distribution setting is required.
- Certified forklift operator with experience on various types of machinery.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Must be capable of frequent lifting up to 60 lbs and applying safe lifting techniques.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and logistics best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and wearing all required PPE.
- Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
