We are seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer for our New York City, New York logistics facility. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, directly impacting our reputation for reliable service. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment, all while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. If you are a meticulous individual with a strong sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute to a busy logistics operation, we want you on our team.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Verify product details, quantities, and condition before packaging.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Use scanning devices to track inventory and update order status in real-time.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock organization.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations and protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- This position requires consistent physical activity, including frequent Lifting of packages.
- Support the overall logistics flow by meeting established picking and packing quotas.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels accurately. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform regular Lifting. Good teamwork and communication skills. Understanding of warehouse safety practices and mandatory PPE usage is crucial. Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus. Reliability and punctuality are essential.
