We are looking for motivated Picker/Packers to join our dynamic team in Detroit, Michigan. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our inventory to fulfill customer orders and then carefully packing them for shipment. This position is fundamental to our logistics chain, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring efficiency and precision. Maintaining a clean and safe work area is a key responsibility. We place a high emphasis on safety and require all team members to follow strict protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipping.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are correctly labeled and staged.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and surrounding area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a warehouse setting.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus.
