We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. Your primary duties will involve moving materials from receiving or storage areas to points of allocation or in-process storage, and loading and unloading trailers. This position requires a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate inventory management and timely order fulfillment. You will operate powered industrial trucks to transport materials throughout the warehouse, performing tasks such as stacking, palletizing, and unpalletizing goods. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is crucial for overall warehouse efficiency and safety. You will also be expected to inspect and perform minor maintenance on the reach truck equipment, reporting any issues promptly. Adherence to all safety regulations and company policies is paramount. This role is essential to our supply chain operations, contributing directly to the smooth flow of goods. Excellent communication skills are needed to coordinate with other team members and supervisors. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. We provide comprehensive training and support to ensure your success. Commitment to teamwork and a positive attitude are highly valued. Responsibilities include: operating the reach truck safely and efficiently, transporting goods, performing inventory counts, loading and unloading, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe work environment. Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This role involves significant Lifting of materials. Our Logistics operations depend on reliable and proficient operators like you.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Reach Truck Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
