We are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk for our facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is crucial for managing the outbound flow of our products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every shipment. You will be responsible for processing orders, coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and maintaining organized records. A strong understanding of logistics and a commitment to Safety are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and documentation.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary paperwork.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track deliveries.
- Inspect packages for proper labeling, packaging, and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the inventory management system.
- Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding shipment status and inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and carrier requirements.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with Loading and unloading of shipments as needed.
- Proactively identify and resolve any shipping discrepancies or issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including shipping software and WMS.
- Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Capability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
