Our logistics facility in San Francisco, California is looking for a dedicated Material Handler to manage the flow of goods within our warehouse. This role is critical to the efficient operation of our logistics hub, ensuring that materials are moved, organized, and stored correctly. You will be responsible for operating various equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining an orderly warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically capable, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Your work will directly support our picking, packing, and shipping processes, contributing to the seamless delivery of products. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stage materials for picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse equipment.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Load outbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Report any damaged materials or equipment issues immediately.
- Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation efforts.
- This position requires regular Lifting of materials, up to 60 lbs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring clear pathways and organized storage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Reliable and punctual.
