We are seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role is essential for managing the outflow of goods from our facility, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and carrier standards. Responsibilities include preparing shipping documents, coordinating with various carriers, tracking shipments, and maintaining organized shipping records. You will be a key point of contact for logistics partners and internal teams regarding outgoing shipments. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and labeling.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external logistics partners.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to strict safety standards, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform other shipping and receiving duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting of packages.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Must be reliable and detail-oriented.
This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, demanding precision and efficiency in managing all aspects of outbound shipments. A strong commitment to safety, including the correct application of PPE, is non-negotiable. The ability to manage varying weights with appropriate Lifting techniques is expected.
