We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing and preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring all packages are correctly labeled, documented, and ready for dispatch. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to efficiency. You will work closely with warehouse staff and transportation carriers to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules, maintain accurate shipping records, and troubleshoot any shipping-related issues. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier requirements.
- Verify shipping information, generate shipping labels, and complete all necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for package pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory of shipping supplies.
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to perform lifting of packages up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with shipping software is an advantage.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all protocols.
