Job Summary:
Join our team in Columbus, Ohio, as an Inventory Control Specialist and play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse operations. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting cycle counts, performing physical inventories, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize stock levels. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a solid understanding of inventory management systems and logistics processes. You will work closely with warehouse and operations personnel to ensure the integrity of our inventory data. Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), are paramount. This position requires the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and report findings effectively. Regular lifting may be necessary to access and verify inventory items. Responsibilities:
  • Execute cycle counting procedures and investigate variances.
  • Perform full physical inventory counts as required.
  • Reconcile inventory records with physical stock.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Manage the accurate tracking of inventory movement within the WMS.
  • Generate regular inventory reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve stock-related issues.
  • Identify and report on slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged inventory.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of all inventory items.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in inventory management is a plus. Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics role is required. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Understanding of safety procedures and the mandatory use of PPE. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
