Our state-of-the-art distribution center in New York City, New York, is seeking dedicated Distribution Center Associates to join our hardworking team. This role is integral to our logistics operations, encompassing a wide range of tasks including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching a variety of products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of our order fulfillment process. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Responsibilities include operating warehouse equipment, conducting inventory checks, and ensuring the proper handling of all goods. Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for accurate order processing and minimizing errors. You will receive comprehensive training on our operational procedures and stringent safety standards. Effective teamwork and communication with supervisors and colleagues are vital for achieving daily operational goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in the dynamic logistics industry. We strongly emphasize adherence to all safety regulations and the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Regular lifting of items up to 40 lbs will be part of your daily responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming inventory.
- Pick and pack customer orders with high accuracy.
- Prepare and stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
- Operate various warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production targets.
- Identify and report any damaged or misplaced inventory.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is beneficial. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs consistently. Familiarity with basic warehouse tools and equipment. Strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality. Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE. Basic math and reading comprehension skills. Ability to work effectively in a team setting. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
