Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and verifying stock levels.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Follow all instructions related to specific material handling requirements and Lifting capacities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or operating forklifts is preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, typically up to 60 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory control principles.
- Good physical stamina and coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using required PPE.
Safety is a top priority. You will be provided with training on safe operating procedures for all equipment and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role is critical to our logistics process, and your diligent handling of materials ensures efficiency and safety throughout the supply chain.
