Job Summary:
Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. This critical role ensures that our inventory records are precise, supporting our logistics and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels against system records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy for all warehouse locations and product types.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and minimize obsolescence.
  • Track and report on key inventory metrics, such as accuracy rates, turnover, and shrinkage.
  • Coordinate with warehouse operations, purchasing, and sales teams to resolve inventory issues.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure all warehouse areas are organized and accessible for efficient inventory management and logistics.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Train and guide warehouse staff on proper inventory handling and counting procedures.
  • Understand the importance of careful Lifting and handling of products to maintain inventory integrity.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in inventory control or a similar role within a logistics or warehouse environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 pounds, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
