We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our Madison, Wisconsin logistics team! This critical role ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will operate forklifts to load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, transport inventory to and from storage locations, and support general warehouse operations. A strong commitment to Safety, proficiency in forklift operation, and adherence to all company policies, including the correct use of PPE, are mandatory. This is a key position within our logistics network, requiring a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle physical tasks, including regular Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory placement.
- Strictly adhere to all warehouse Safety regulations and protocols.
- Wear and use appropriate PPE at all times in designated areas.
- Perform manual Lifting of up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.
- Proficiency with different types of forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including significant Lifting.
- Understanding of logistics operations and inventory control.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Dedicated to maintaining a Safe and efficient work environment.
